Presentation overview:
Many things contribute to downtime. Server failure, SW glitches, backups, restores, etc. Many causes of user and IT downtime are preventable and can be eliminated: file system backups, storage hardware, firmware and software upgrades. Infrastructure choices are critical to reducing and minimizing system outages. Storage virtualization, full server redundancy, and snap-copy/snap restores can significantly eliminate scheduled and some unscheduled downtime.
